Winchester Canyon Gun Club operates environmentally responsible shooting ranges for its members and the general public, keeping firearm safety paramount. WCGC is a safe, inclusive and friendly place for responsible gun owners, friends and families to learn, practice and challenge your marksmanship skills. WCGC is a non-profit organization located near Santa Barbara, California.  Winchester Canyon Gun Club is committed to working with local Law Enforcement, Fire Departments, First Responders as well as the US Forest Service. We have a special relationship with each of these departments working together to educate the public and our members on the importance of Firearm Safety. Winchester Canyon Gun Club Announces Board Leadership Update
Santa Barbara, CA – August 20, 2025 – The Winchester Canyon Gun Club (WCGC) Board of Directors announces an update to its leadership in accordance with the Club’s bylaws.
Effective immediately, Mr. Dayton Aldrich is no longer qualified to serve as a member of the Board of Directors and has been voted off the Board. The decision was made following careful review and adherence to WCGC’s governing bylaws to ensure compliance and uphold the standards of the organization.
In line with established procedures, Vice President Paul McKenna will assume the role of Interim President of the Board of Directors until further notice. Mr. McKenna will serve in this capacity while the Board of Directors prepares to conduct a vote for new leadership at an upcoming meeting.
WCGC remains committed to maintaining transparency, accountability, and the highest level of integrity in its governance. The Board wishes to thank its members and community for their continued support and engagement as the Club moves forward under its guiding principles.

If the weather is foggy, and you can't see the impact berms, it is NOT SAFE to shoot. If you look at this Weather Station and the humidity level is about 90% or higher, the club is fogged in.
